The D-Jectronic was first introduced on the 1972, 2.4 liter 911T. The first Porsche engine management computers were the Bosch D-Jectronic and they were controlled by the engine’s vacuum. This new management system now needed an analog computer to control the amount of fuel the engine would receive by varying the time the injectors were open.
